Artificial intelligence emerged as a key topic of discussion at this year’s Summer Davos Forum. During the forum, Gong Rujing participated as a guest speaker in the panel discussion themed “The AI+ Era,” where she joined other experts—including Zhu Min, Senior Fellow at the China Center for International Economic Exchanges and former Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund—to discuss AI-driven industrial transformation.
In addition to her public speaking engagement, Gong Rujing attended several closed-door events, such as the China–Gulf Cooperation Council Business Dialogue and the ASEAN–China Cooperation Dinner. She also held meetings with various political and business leaders from around the world and was interviewed by several authoritative media outlets, including CCTV’s CGTN, China News Service, Global Times, China Times, Yicai, Tencent Finance, and Sina Finance.
In her interview with CGTN, Gong Rujing emphasized that China is well-positioned to make significant contributions to global health governance. As the country with the second-largest population, China has invested continuously in healthcare digitalization over the past two decades, amassing vast amounts of medical data and practical experience. Its systemic efforts in balancing healthcare investment with GDP growth, along with its unique strategies for addressing medical resource allocation challenges, offer valuable insights for global health governance.
This year’s forum was themed “Next Frontiers for Growth: Reimagining the Future of Business,” highlighting the role of entrepreneurship in the new era. In an interview with China News Service, Gong Rujing stated that entrepreneurs must develop a deep understanding of the global landscape and its associated challenges, and establish highly adaptive learning organizations to maintain competitiveness amid transformation. She outlined three key elements of the entrepreneurial spirit in the new era:
Resilience – Entrepreneurs constantly face emerging challenges and must possess strong tenacity to lead their teams through adversity.
Lifelong learning – In a rapidly changing environment, quick adaptation and continuous learning of new technologies and knowledge are essential.
Openness – Teams should embrace diversity and attract talent from all backgrounds to foster collective intelligence.
The Summer Davos Forum provided a valuable platform for dialogue and collaboration among representatives from government, industry, academia, and research institutions. The active participation of entrepreneurs like Gong Rujing not only brought greater international attention to China’s technology enterprises, but also injected fresh energy into global economic development and innovation cooperation. Under the guidance of the entrepreneurial spirit of the new era, businesses are expected to continue pioneering efforts and contribute wisdom and strength toward solving global challenges, advancing the world economy in a more prosperous and sustainable direction.
