Yidu Tech Practices Inclusive Healthcare With "AI for Good", Bringing Warmth to Life Through Technology

The conference focused not only on cutting-edge technological breakthroughs but also on technology's problem-solving capabilities for social issues. On July 28, Gong Rujing, founder and chairwoman of Yidu Tech, as an outstanding representative in the field of AI healthcare, was invited to attend the conference's "AI for Good" forum. Through a keynote speech and roundtable discussion, she systematically explained Yidu's implementation path of "AI for Good": breaking resource barriers through technological breakthroughs and bringing warmth to life through technology.
From domestic universal healthcare to global empowerment - Yidu safeguards life and health with technological warmth
Gong Rujing stated that when Yidu Tech was founded over a decade ago, it had already anchored its core direction: using technology as the engine to drive a more efficient and precise universal healthcare supply chain and reduce disease burden. This goal is being gradually realized through a series of solid implementation practices.
In China, chronic diseases have become an important factor affecting residents' health. Gong Rujing shared that in Lingshui, Hainan, Yidu Tech partnered with the local government and primary hospitals to launch a "primary care empowerment + digital therapeutics" model, creating a precise and efficient solution for diabetes management. The core of this model is to use artificial intelligence technologies such as large models to "digitize" expert diagnosis and treatment experience, extend professional services to "doorsteps," and make technology a "resource bridge," ultimately achieving a tripartite linkage of "active patient participation, precise doctor management, and in-depth expert support." Currently, over 93% of diabetes patients under management in Lingshui have been included in systematic care, with treatment rates and fasting blood glucose compliance rates increasing by 34.5% and 32.6% respectively compared to the initial pilot phase.
Based on the Lingshui experience, Yidu Tech has expanded its services to multiple locations in Hainan including Sanya and Wanning, as well as more chronic disease areas. Meanwhile, services integrating "large language model intelligent triage + digital therapeutics" have been implemented in Tianjin Economic Development Zone and are planned for promotion to more regions.
Overseas, Yidu Tech is assisting the health development of multiple countries with the same technological philosophy. Gong Rujing stated that Yidu Tech has already conducted business in four overseas countries. In one country, the AI healthcare application system implemented has mature service capabilities - the national healthcare app co-developed by both parties has monthly active users covering 40% of the country's population. Residents can conveniently access personal health records on this platform and, with the help of system-generated health indices, receive tailored digital health management plans. They can also connect with AI doctors to assist with examination appointments and specialist诊疗, making personalized health guidance "readily accessible."
With the accelerated development of global AI healthcare, how to make AI better serve universal healthcare has become a topic of industry exploration. At the high-level dialogue session on "The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Reducing Health Inequality," Gong Rujing discussed with Zhang Yifei, Secretary-General of Fosun Foundation, Ann Aerts, Head of Novartis Foundation, and Laura Herman, Global Managing Partner at Dalberg, directly addressing the deep-seated challenges of global AI healthcare scaling.

Gong Rujing introduced that Yidu Tech focuses on three areas - "AI for Medical," "AI for Life Science," and "AI for Care" - to build a healthcare value network: the "AI Medical Brain" YiduCore has cumulatively processed and analyzed over 6 billion authorized medical records; the AI doctor assistant developed by the company covers the entire diagnosis and treatment process, comprehensively empowering doctors in research and clinical practice; the life science business has served hundreds of pharmaceutical companies, reducing clinical trial cycles by over 30%; the company has also successfully operated city-specific commercial health insurance programs in Beijing, Shenzhen and other locations for multiple years, serving over 40 million people and providing protection for countless families.

"The most important aspect of medical AI is not the scale of model parameters or the advancement of algorithms," Gong Rujing said. "The ultimate value of medical AI is to serve people and warm lives. To realize this value, we not only need reverence for the complexity of life and trust and cooperation between institutions but also must adhere to the people-oriented vision - just like the 'technology + human' collaboration model of AI diagnostic assistants, which is a vivid presentation of these concepts."

At this conference, Yidu Tech's AI platform practices were also awarded the "AI Solutions for SME Global Case," which is not only high recognition of its technical strength and practical value but also a vivid footnote of its practical participation in global health governance.
In the future, Yidu Tech will continue to use technological innovation as an anchor point, deepen global collaboration and local practices, and with firmer steps, write the "era answer sheet" of contributing to global health governance.
