On the afternoon of May 21, Yin Li, Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Beijing Municipal Committee, conducted an inspection of the development and application of health and medical data under the theme of "Thoroughly Implementing the Guiding Principles of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s Important Remarks During His Inspection of Beijing and Empowering the Development of a Healthy Beijing Through Digital Intelligence." He visited Yidu Tech to learn about the company’s operations and scientific and technological innovation. Municipal leaders Jin Wei and Zhao Lei also participated in the inspection.

As a leading domestic company in the fields of health and medical big data and artificial intelligence[1], Yidu Tech attracted significant attention for its progress in technological innovation and the exploration of practical applications.
During the inspection, Yidu Tech Founder and Chairlady Gong Rujing and Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Xu Jiming briefed Secretary Yin on behalf of the company about its technological development and applications in medical artificial intelligence. They demonstrated Yidu Tech’s innovative application achievements and reported on the company’s progress in pursuing technological self-reliance, remaining oriented toward industrial applications, and continuously expanding into high-value scenarios.
Secretary Yin learned in detail about Yidu Tech’s current operations and scientific and technological innovation practices, and expressed his earnest expectations: the company should accelerate the deployment and application of large-model technologies in relevant scenarios, continuously enhance the competitiveness of its products and the quality of its services, and better advance breakthroughs in medical innovation and improvements to the healthcare delivery system.
Secretary Yin pointed out that Beijing has significant advantages in the scale, quality, and potential of its health and medical data. The city also has a solid industrial foundation and a well-developed innovation ecosystem in fields such as artificial intelligence and biomedicine, providing favorable conditions for the coordinated development of data, technology, and industry.
Looking ahead, Secretary Yin emphasized:
Efforts should be made to strengthen the role of data in empowering scientific and technological innovation, make high-quality data a key foundation for advancing high-level scientific and technological innovation in healthcare, and use data to support breakthroughs in frontier technologies and the translation of research outcomes into practical applications. With a focus on key areas such as disease target identification, precision diagnosis and treatment, and digital pathology, Beijing should accelerate the development of standardized, high-quality disease-specific datasets to better meet people’s healthcare needs. Support should be provided for the development of medical big data innovation centers and public computing-power platforms, while deeper integration of basic research and clinical data should be promoted to deliver tangible improvements in clinical diagnosis and treatment.
Efforts should be made to unlock the value of data and promote the high-quality development of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Focusing on key areas such as drug research and development, medical device innovation, and smart healthcare, Beijing should advance the opening and application of data resources in an orderly manner. Medical institutions, research institutes, and enterprises should be supported in deepening collaboration and developing replicable, operational, and sustainable data products and service models. Data should be used to empower biopharmaceutical manufacturing and accelerate the market launch of innovative pharmaceutical products.
Efforts should be made to improve the compliance management system and facilitate the efficient and secure flow of data. Systems for the classification and grading of medical data, authorized use, and oversight of data circulation should be strengthened; capabilities for data anonymization and assessment should be enhanced; and full-process traceability and oversight should be reinforced across the registration, rights confirmation, valuation, and trading of data assets. The red lines of data security and personal privacy protection must be firmly upheld.
Efforts should be made to coordinate the strengths of all parties and foster a sound environment for the joint development and sharing of data. The market-based data trading and operating mechanism should be improved; the experience and practices of leading medical institutions should be thoroughly reviewed and promoted; and medical institutions with a solid foundation should be supported in conducting pilot programs, thereby raising the overall standard of high-quality medical dataset development across the city. Relevant municipal departments should strengthen service support, provide more efficient and targeted policy support, and bring together the combined efforts of government, enterprises, and medical institutions.
This inspection provided clear direction for the innovative application of health and medical data and injected strong momentum into the company’s development. Yidu Tech stated that it would actively implement Secretary Yin’s instructions, leverage its accumulated technological capabilities in AI and big data, participate deeply in the development of Beijing’s health and medical data infrastructure, and accelerate the deployment and application of large-model and AI-agent technologies in clinical diagnosis, treatment, and research scenarios. The company will continue to enhance the competitiveness of its products and the quality of its services, support breakthroughs in medical innovation and improvements to the healthcare delivery system through concrete action, and contribute further expertise and capabilities as Beijing accelerates the development of an International Center for Science and Technology Innovation and builds a modern hub for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.
